Whole House Inspection
A complete home inspection is a thorough examination of the major components that combine to form the structural support and working systems in a home. We abide by, but are not necessarily limited to the ASHI standards of practice.
Radon Gas Testing
Radon gas is a colorless, odorless, naturally occurring gas that is formed from the breakdown of uranium deposits in the rocks and soil under your home.At the conclusion of the test, we print out an easy to read line graph that clearly shows the hourly results and average concentrations of radon in your home.
Damage from these critters cost up to $5 billion every year in the US. So, if you see mud tubes snaking up walls or the foundation of your home, or notice soft spots in floors, drywall or trim, your home could be infested with termites or ants.
Radon Mitigation is any process used to reduce radon gas concentrations in the breathing zones of occupied buildings or radon from water supplies. Mitigation of radon in the air is accomplished through ventilation, either collected below a concrete floor slab or membrane on the ground, or by increasing the air changes per hour in the building.
If your home suffers from condensation on the windows, this is often an indication of poor air flow and high humidity. High humidity is one of the main causes of mold growth. In these scenarios, it is reasonable to suspect that mold growth may be occurring in the home and therefore, testing is a worthwhile option.
Water Quality Testing
We collect samples of potable water and have an independent lab test them for any or all of the following contaminants: Nitrates, Nitrites, Bacteria (including e-coli), Lead, Copper, Arsenic, Sulfates, Fluorides.
Mold is tiny organisms that are essentially found everywhere in our natural environment. It exists in various colors such as black, white, orange, green, or even purple. In the outdoors space these organisms play a vital role in nature. We are exposed to mold every day, and in small amounts it is usually harmless.
Lead Base Paint
Many older homes include at least one layer of lead based paint. Our testing of lead paint is simply a swab test that will detect the presence of lead. It does not detect the amount of lead or on what layer of paint the lead is present. Lab analysis would be required for these more precise measurements.

John was extremely detailed in his report. He went over everything he found and pointed it out. Scheduling took about a week but was definitely worth the wait. They offer warranties for after the inspection as well which is nice. 10/10 would recommend/use in the future.
I was very pleased with the inspection. Matthew was very thorough along with his assistants. .... He made time to answer questions, review things with us and give us a simple summary of priorities. The report was very detailed, easy to understand and he was prompt getting the report to us. I would highly recommend Aardvark and particularly Matthew.
Brock did an excellent job! Very informative and personable. A great inspection all around. I have purchased 4 homes and have NEVER been happy with the quality of the inspection until now. Now we feel very comfortable in knowing exactly what we are getting into with our new home. I would absolutely recommend Aardvark Home Inspectors and will use them again in the future if needed.
